In 2014, Cégep Beauce-Appalaches in Saint-Georges de Beauce opened its doors with an initial capacity of 150 students. Over the course of 15 years, the number of students doubled, increasing from 150 to 300. In response to this demand, the principal, Pierre Leblanc, realized the project of constructing a new building capable of accommodating 500 students by the fall of 2020. The architectural firm Roy, Jacques, and Darisse was entrusted with this institutional mandate.
